interesting

Animation: nice and smooth, the constant slight shifting of the background elements that really makes it look like that it was drawn and you are being shown lots of drawings very fast was a nice touch and everything moved seemlessly.
Sound: The music was great and gave the flash its overall feeling of a weird and fantastic journey.
Artwork: OMG... if i could drawn even one picture, be it anything, as good as one frame of this masterpeice i would consider myself honored. the scene at the begining with the close up on his eye and he saw the "shadow hand" coming for him was one of the most breathtaking and awsome looking things i have ever seen in a flash animation. I bow before thee.
Storyline: Differant, this took alot of creativity. That is a good thing.
Overall: Spectacular visuals backed by a original and interesting concept with mood setting music and animation that is smooth as butter. how can i not give this a 10?

SUPAH SHIT! ACTIVATE!!!1

Smooth animation, nice sounds, nice artwork.
At first i thought that the bear simply scared the crap outta the bunny and it was going to land a couple of feet away or something...

cute

I like the artwork and music very well.
The way the animation worked fit well into the way the animation looked.
And the storyline is very simple and cute.... though i do have to ask, why does she keep trying to feed the tree then looking disappointed when it doesn't take the food? Its a tree little girl!! lol

absolutly perfect

Flash submissions like this is the very reason i even come to newgrounds.
I absolutly love shorts like these and i really don't know what to say besides that its freekn perfect and i want more. ^_^

hilarious!

I read the discription on the front page and was thinking.. oh dear what is going to happen to these poor innocent little forest creatures?
The animatin was great, smooth and simple.
Sound really set the mood.
Storyline was the best part, i was expecting something terrible tohappen to the adorible little creatures but that was completely outta the box. I was laughing so hard i had to see it agian.

nice

I guess it wasn't a matter if this was going to happen, more as a matter of when. Luckly you did it well!

I gotta try that some time.

That was pretty good. The animation was simple and while the animation itself wasn't enough to keep my attention the music was more than enough to keep me till the end. I sat and listened to the music most of the time trying to decipher just how many people it took to do the music, and as I listened to the music in contentment you swiftly delivered the punch at the end which put a nice cherry on it for me.
I have a saying that goes a little like this, "some people are like a slinky, not really useful for anything but you can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs." With this in mind i am going to try this little trick myself in public and see how well it actually works! lol

Nice

Me like.
There may be some other poeple on newgrounds that will tell you "SPE3K EGL1SH YOU REJ3CT!" i feel that the only poeple that will do that simply need to learn how to read.
The animation is top notch and i love the style, its unique yet still feels normal as you go along.
The sound was perfect. not much more i can say.
And i love the storyline! Gamers everywhere should appeciate this from the bottom of their souls.

That was funny

Ok i like the style. some of the jokes and dialog was rather humorous.
The animation itself felt a little slow and clunky if that was the what you was going for then well done but in a DBZ parody it felt outta place for me personally.
The artwork was weird and random.... good job nothing wrong with that at all ^_^
The sound was a little off..... they'd say things and then move their mouths 0.5 secs later. rargh! fix that. And the voiceovers felt very unemotional and stale.
Overall pretty funny with some decent artwork and some sound that needed slight tweeking. 8/10 from me.

-_-; was expecting more

ok let me do this systematicly...
Animation: didn't do much besides show them draw their swords and running at each other and even this short bit felt kinda clunky.
Sound: was good and the voice at the beginning got me preped up and ready to see some action.
Storyline: I was ready to see two guys with swords drawn slice and dice each other up in this massive 1 on 1 battle the voice at the beginning set us up but the ending totally let me down :,(
Artwork: not the best i've ever seen but certainly not bad either, this is going to one of the factors that raise the stars for me becuase i understand that not everyone can make something look FR33KN @W$OM3.
Overall: you set up the tee and steped up to bat but somehow still managed to miss... next time you are going to do an epic showdown of two guys about to cleave each other in two.. for the love of all that you hold sacred PLEASE FINISH IT!!

ChronoNomad responds:

Well, this is just my first go at it, after all. I'm hoping to bring more of a "wow factor" to future animations, but since this was for my college course there were just too many considerations that hurt the overall production. Max 30 second animation, only two weeks to work on it...it is what it is. :P

I also purposefully left the truth of who died a mystery to promote discussion in class. It really worked, and there's nothing wrong with leaving people wanting a little more is there? ;) Some people even toyed with the idea that they both killed each other...

On the bright side, I hope to add more depth to future animations. I would have loved for this to be more frame-by-frame as opposed to vector-based, but animating with just a mouse is something of a detriment.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your review. I appreciate your honesty, and I hope you'll give my future animations the same kind of feedback.
